Orange-Eco is an exceptional soldering paste flux formulation that not only meets but exceeds the specifications of ASTM B813 (revised
in 2010 requiring non-corrosive and non-toxic flux residue in potable water systems) and NSF 61. No corrosive zinc chloride,
no corrosive ammonium chloride, no petrolatum (vaseline). Orange-Eco soldering paste flux does not absorb water. Available in 2oz,
8oz, 16oz jars, and 20 or 40 lb pails. Ask for Orange-Eco at your preferred distributor - for plumbing, heating & air conditioning,
refigeration applications and consumers alike. 20 or 40 lb pails are suited for industrial manufacturers for their soldering operations
both in-house or at jobsites.
> A radiator recoring and repair shop searches out SolderSource for our custom SS30Plus solder wire, soldering flux and muriatic
> SolderSource supplies a special soldering flux and lead-free soft solder to a major boiler manufacture for their repair
of hundreds of heat exchangers after assessing failed silver phosphorus brazed copper tube to stainless steel fittings, . The joint
fit was determined to be much too tight (an initial design issue) which caused the inadequately brazed - failed - connections. Soft
soldering was an acceptable alternative considering the thermal properties required for the heat exchanger units, and the joint clearance
issue. After training the operators on soldering vs. brazing, the units are being effectively repaired.
> SolderSource shipped
a special flux and lead-free solder alloy to the UAE for a custom large sign and display company located there and in Canada.
Lead antimony (Pb Sb) alloys required for R & D by a renowned bullet manufacturer were supplied by SolderSource.
> A new start-up
business in the sheet metal industry was supplied with their initial soldering product needs - bar solder, soldering equipment including
a bench furnace and soldering iron 'coppers' - and of course 'sal-ammoniac' blocks to aid in tip cleaning/tinning
a long time, alliance with a recognized supplier of printed circuit supplies and electronic components. We provide our solder pot
analysis service for their customers on a wholesale basis. Our service includes providing pure tin elliptic anodes, extruded bar solder
- lead-free and lead-containing, and spent solder reclamation service (solder dross and solder pot dumps).
2010 > Began a strategic
alliance with a leading global third party logistics (3PL) freight provider. Cost savings was an initiative in our search for a reliable
freight logistics provider, whether within Canada, USA, and/or cross-border. We pass the savings along in our many 'FOB Delivered'
> Special aluminum flux core large diameter solder rods supplied to a major roof construction company for the repair
of certain improperly soldered flashings and vents - critical rework due to the reknowned art gallery located below the leaking
roof. Also supplied sal-ammoniac tinning blocks and heavy duty soldering iron 'coppers' to aid in the 'Galvalume' (C) roof repairs.
> Solidified a strategic alliance with a recognized solder manufacturer for our custom and standard alloys. SolderSource division
of Prime Source Specialty Corp also sells spent solder for reclamation to our valued affiliate. We also offer spent solder 'tolling'
service - this involves bringing your 'used' (due to high copper or other contaminant) solder metal 'back to specification' by 'electrolytic'
2009 > Aligned with a major flux and related chemical manufacturer. The affiliation continues today - we are both a
customer and supplier of one another.
> Commenced the manufacture and supply of industrial fork lift, lift truck battery post and
intercell connector components.
> Supplied solder, flux, and lead wool to an established fabricator of copper and lead flashing,
gutters, roofing and cupolas. This customer specializes in church and estate upgrades.
> The Fundamentals of Industrial Soldering
Training Program presented to a copper-brass radiator manufacturer having problems with solder joint failures, leaks, etc. Further
recommendations were implemented by using correct solder alloys for the various stages of radiator manufacturing. We procured a used
bake oven to enhance their radiator core bake process. We provided the correct solder alloys based on the multi-step manufacturing
process solderiing temperature requirements - ingots for solder pot radiator header dip soldering, solder ribbon / foil for radiator
side seams, wire solder in two diameters for tube to header plate build up and tank to header and fittings soldering.
2003 > The
Fundamentals of Industrial Soldering Training Program presented to a major multi-facility copper-brass radiator manufacturer during
our direct affiliation with a major global solder manufacturer. We assisted with the soldering fundamentals training and process control
procedures for their complete radiator manufacturing operations at several locations. Dozens of soldering operators in several facilities
enhanced their understanding of the hands-on and technical aspects of the soldering function. Unique and virtually oxide-free 'clean'
solder billets replaced inherently more dross-containing open mold poured ingots at all locations. These 'clean' billets are availabe
to this day from SolderSource.
1999 > A two-way relationship begins with a major supplier of equipment, tools and supplies to the
radiator manufacturing and radiator repair shop industry. The affiliation continues today - we are both a customer and supplier of
1993 > Prime Source formally aligns with a major custom lead products fabricator providing lead castings and extrusions.
The affiliation continues today - we are both a customer and supplier of one another.
> Prime Source Industrial Corp (Prime Source
Specialty Corp name change in 2010) incorporates and strategically aligns with chosen solder and flux manufacturers.
